Albert Lam is a Boston-based jazz pianist, composer, and arranger. His debut album, Be You, showcases a collection of original compositions that reflect his love for melody, swing, Latin rhythms, and the blues. Recorded at the legendary Van Gelder Studio, the album brings together an ensemble of some of today's leading jazz musicians.

A lifelong pianist, Albert began studying classical piano as a child before discovering jazz and developing a passion for improvisation, composition, and arranging. Inspired by artists including Ahmad Jamal, Red Garland, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Kelly, Kenny Barron, and Horace Silver, Albert's music blends lyricism with rhythmic vitality while emphasizing melodic development, expressive improvisation, and ensemble interaction. Whether composing, arranging, or performing at the piano, his goal is to create music that invites repeated listening, revealing new details and emotional depth with each return.
